It’s fascinating how this anime focuses on science, there aren't many medias that does that. And most post-apocalyptic stories focus on what was lost, but here the focus is entirely on what can be rebuilt.

The "Stone Wars" arc was a perfect ideological clash. You have Tsukasa, who wants a pure world without the greed of modern society, vs. Senku, who believes science is the great equalizer. It’s hard not to root for the guy who uses ramen and lightbulbs as weapons of war. The way he "conquers" people isn't by killing them, but by showing them the beauty of convenience and discovery.

And afterwards they became besties! Senku just collects everyone as part of his evil plan to overwork them lol.

My favorite part has to be the Roadmap to Civilization thing they've got going on. Seeing them go from literally rubbing sticks together to making glass, then sulfa drugs, and eventually electronics, makes you realize how much we take for granted. It’s like a love letter to human persistence.

The cast is insanely lovable and everyone is so relevant to the plot surprisingly, and feels humane.

ADDENDUM: I miss them, haven't seen the latest season maybe this is my sign. (note to self: add. more. late on. on gen and nanami.)

Specimen Note: Parallel to Specimen 005 (Patrick Jane). Both possess hyper-analytical minds that alienate them from average social norms. However, where Jane uses observation to dismantle a past crime, Senku uses it to construct a future civilization. Both require a "muscle" partner (Cho & Rigsby/Taiju) to ground their eccentricities.
