Persona 4

"Who's there...?"

SUBJECT: INABA SERIAL MURDERS

A quiet town turned upside down. Residents are disappearing on rainy nights, only to appear hanging from telephone poles when the fog lifts.

Observation: The "Midnight Channel" acts as a bridge between our reality and a world of shadows, reflecting the suppressed thoughts of those televised.

  • Look for the girl in the raincoat.
  • The fog is thicker today.
  • Don't believe the first truth you find.

The Pursuit of Truth

Unlike the existential dread of P3 or the urban rebellion of P5, Persona 4 is a story about the internal mask. It asks: Can you look at the part of yourself you hate most and say, "You're me"?

This shrine serves as a digital repository for my journey through Inaba. Below you'll find the logs of the investigation team.

ARCHIVIST'S NOTES

It's interesting how P4 uses the television as a metaphor for public perception. We only see what we want to see in others. The "Shadows" aren't evil; they're just the parts of us we've edited out for the broadcast version of our lives.

Comparing this to P2's rumors—P2 is about what *others* say about you becoming real. P4 is about what *you* refuse to say about yourself becoming a monster.

I've played Persona 4 (not golden) and most certainly not the Reload one that I don't even know what purpose it serves.. the only reason why I might check that is because nothing feels as homey and inclusive (in a way lol) as P4 didm

You play as yo(u), or as some might know him, Souji Seta, having transferred to Inaba for some reason I don't even remember.

You stay with your ever-absent uncle (?) and his junes-loving daughter.

And try to lead a life in this new small town where everybody knows eachother, and anything that might happen will be known to all.

You get to know Yosuke the sorta clumsy guy who works in Junes and is hated by everybody because his family owns it and they're new in the town therefor rendering other businesses broke.

He is a city boy just like you, he was kinda nice at rhe start, and even surprisingly smart for the "best guy friend" trope chara.

But they nerfed him later on or the homophobia got to him idk but he's clearly in denial of many things and I wonder how they're gonna handle that with him, kanji, and naoto.

Then we meet Chie and her "stoic" bestie Yukiko, they're both fun to have around and it's nice to see Chie squabbling around with Yosuke while Yukiko loses her marbles laughing her ass off

The intro is long, not sure if it's to P5's length but it's at least four hours where you get used to the settings and the great osts.

Even though Yu is a silent protagonist just like Tatsuya from P2, you can tell he's the coolest guy on the planet from the choices available to you and the way everyone flocks to him, truly... a specialist....lol.

With time you'll ger to know everyone and their personalites, experience many fun activities with them like going to the beach, going to school, going to kill god maybe, you know normal school kids activity.

And you gain a sister in the process, it's great, it's emotional and it's such a good journey to go through.

One of my favourite things to ever exist, I've rewatched it so many times.
